Hero Siege Season 10 Tier List: Best Classes and Hidden Gems
Season 10 has changed the Hero Siege meta more than a simple new season normally would. Ebontharn adds new content, changes progression, and adjusts several class and skill interactions. As a result, the strongest leveling class is not always the best endgame class.
More importantly, you do not need to play a supposed T0 build to have a great Season 10 character. Several A-tier and less popular options offer excellent progression and can be much more enjoyable depending on your playstyle.
S-Tier: The Current Meta Picks
The strongest current Season 10 builds include Bone Shred Necromancer, Gunner Drones Marksman, Shield Wall Shield Lancer, and Anchor Swing Pirate for leveling. These builds combine strong clearing with relatively low gear requirements.
Marksman is particularly easy to recommend because Gunner Drones provide strong ranged damage and comfortable mobility. It is one of the safest choices for players who want a straightforward first character.
Pirate is another standout. Anchor Swing benefits from improved base damage and offers excellent clearing speed, making it one of the strongest aggressive starters.
Shield Lancer is the defensive option. Shield Wall becomes much more comfortable after its early levels and can provide a forgiving progression route for players who do not enjoy fragile characters.
Strong A-Tier Choices
A-tier does not mean weak. In many cases, these classes are better choices for players who dislike the current meta.
Paladin is a great example. Lightning Fury provides reliable damage and strong progression, while the class also offers useful defensive and healing tools.
Shaman can also work well if you enjoy a more controlled playstyle. Totem-based builds are slower in some situations, but they provide safe elemental damage and do not require constant melee positioning.
Samurai is another interesting option. Explosive Kunai has strong boss damage, although its key equipment requirement means the build is less convenient as a completely fresh starter.
Hidden Gem: Demonspawn
If you want a class that is not always mentioned when players discuss the top meta, Demonspawn deserves attention.
Current Season 10 references place Demonspawn around the A tier, with Blood Surge and Bone Fragments/Bone Barrage paths offering different ways to approach progression.
The class may not dominate every speed-clear chart, but it provides a good balance between damage and survivability. That makes it particularly attractive for players who want a strong character without blindly following the most popular build.
It is also a good candidate for a second seasonal character once you already have some resources.
Stormweaver: Still Worth Playing
Stormweaver is another class that should not be written off simply because it is no longer an automatic top recommendation.
The recent teleport changes reduced some of the class’s old mobility advantage, which is one reason current starter rankings are more cautious about it. However, Stormweaver still offers strong caster gameplay and can be very effective with the right setup.
If you enjoy fast elemental spellcasting, there is no reason to abandon the class simply because another tier list places it in A instead of S.
Endgame Rankings Are Different
One of the biggest mistakes with Season 10 tier lists is assuming the leveling ranking remains unchanged at endgame.
Current endgame testing puts builds such as Flicker Bard, Frost Sunder Jötunn, Chainsaw Slash Butcher, Anchor Swing Pirate, and Demonspawn Bone Barrage among the strongest options.
This is why choosing a starter based only on its Level 1–100 ranking can be misleading.
A build that feels average during the campaign may become extremely powerful after acquiring its core gear, Incarnation upgrades, and Ether progression.
How to Choose Outside the Meta
If your goal is simply to reach endgame as quickly as possible, choose one of the established S-tier leveling builds.
If you want a more balanced experience, Marksman, Paladin, or Demonspawn are excellent alternatives.
If you prefer melee combat, Pirate, Shield Lancer, or Butcher deserve attention.
For players who enjoy experimenting, Stormweaver, Samurai, or Shaman can be much more interesting than following the most popular build.
Your first character can also become your main farming character, allowing you to accumulate Hero Siege Gold while learning the Season 10 systems.
Do You Need the Meta to Progress?
Not at all.
The difference between an S-tier and A-tier build matters much more when you are pushing optimized endgame content than when you are simply completing the campaign.
Good positioning, appropriate gear, useful Runewords, and understanding your skill rotation often matter more than a single letter on a tier list.
If you eventually decide to buy Hero Siege Items, make sure you first understand the requirements of your chosen build. A strong itemfor one class may be almost useless for another.
For the current early Season 10 environment, a practical way to look at the meta is:
S Tier: Bone Shred Necromancer, Gunner Drones Marksman, Shield Wall Shield Lancer, Anchor Swing Pirate
A Tier: Paladin, Demonspawn, Samurai, Shaman, Stormweaver and other competitive builds
Endgame standouts: Flicker, Frost Sunder, Chainsaw Slash, Anchor Swing and Demonspawn Bone Barrage
Remember that Season 10 is still developing. Several rankings are based on early testing rather than a fully settled endgame meta, so today’s A-tier build could easily become tomorrow’s sleeper pick.
The best strategy is therefore simple: pick a build that has a smooth progression path, matches the way you enjoy playing, and gives you enough power to farm your next upgrade. You do not have to chase T0 to have a strong Season 10 character.
