ARC Raiders Amplification Modules Guide: Where to Find Them

Amplification Modules are a late-game resource introduced with Frozen Trail and are required to move eligible Tier IV weapons into the Amplified tier. They are not part of a normal scavenging route. If you are farming specifically for these modules, your targets are the Fallen Emperor on Pendola Pass and the ARC Frigate.

The important part is knowing which module your weapon needs before starting the farm. Amplification Modules use five Marks, and each Mark corresponds to a weapon rarity rather than the weapon’s current upgrade tier.

How Amplification Modules Work

A weapon must first reach Tier IV before it can enter the Amplified tier. You then need an Amplification Module that matches the weapon’s base rarity.

ModuleWeapon Rarity
Mk. ICommon
Mk. IIUncommon
Mk. IIIRare
Mk. IVEpic
Mk. VLegendary

A higher Mark cannot replace a lower one. If a weapon requires Mk. III, finding Mk. IV or Mk. V does not let you bypass that requirement.

The Anvil is an important example because Frozen Trail changed its rarity from Uncommon to Rare. An Anvil that reaches Tier IV therefore requires Amplification Module Mk. III, not Mk. II and not Mk. IV.

For players sorting ARC Raiders Items around an Amplification project, this rarity check should come first. It prevents you from filling stash space with modules that do not match the weapon you currently want to develop.

Where to Find Amplification Modules

Amplification Modules are associated with two high-end Frozen Trail activities:

  • Fallen Emperor on Pendola Pass
  • ARC Frigate

These should be treated as dedicated module-farming targets. Regular residential, commercial, industrial, and general scavenging routes are not substitutes for them when your objective is specifically to obtain an Amplification Module.

There is also no need to build your route around an assumed guaranteed Mark. Enter with a target module in mind, but be prepared to bank another Mark if it supports a weapon you intend to amplify later.

Farming the Fallen Emperor

The Fallen Emperor is located on Pendola Pass, but reaching the wreck is not the same as accessing its valuable interior. Entry is tied to the Emperor Gateway Conduit, making this a progression-gated activity rather than a normal POI loot run.

The preparation chain begins with Pendola Pass and the Redirection map condition. Progression through this content provides access to the materials and blueprint needed for the Emperor Gateway Conduit. Once you can craft the conduit, it can be taken to the Fallen Emperor to open access to the interior.

Before Entering the Emperor

Check these points before committing to the run:

  • Have the Emperor Gateway Conduit ready.
  • Leave enough inventory space for high-value ARC materials.
  • Bring a loadout capable of handling endgame ARC threats.
  • Carry appropriate traversal gear if your route requires it.
  • Decide in advance which Amplification Module Mark you need.

Once inside, focus on the Emperor’s valuable loot rather than treating the location as the start of a full-map scavenging route. Amplification Modules can be found within the interior alongside other resources connected to Frozen Trail’s late-game progression.

The main objective after finding the module you need is simple: keep it and get out.

Extending the raid for ordinary loot adds exposure without improving the module you already secured.

Farming the ARC Frigate

The ARC Frigate provides the second main route for obtaining Amplification Modules. Unlike a standard loot area, the Frigate is an active high-risk objective with valuable ARC technology and strong opposition around it.

Module runs should therefore be planned around the Frigate itself. Keep inventory capacity available and avoid spending the early part of the raid filling your bag with low-priority materials if Amplification is your actual objective.

Frigate Run Priorities

  1. Reach the Frigate with enough resources to survive the activity.
  2. Progress through the Frigate objective instead of looting unrelated areas first.
  3. Search its high-value cargo and relevant breachable loot areas.
  4. Check any Amplification Module you recover against your target weapon rarity.
  5. Protect a useful module as soon as possible.
  6. Leave once the risk of staying outweighs the value of additional loot.

The last point matters in ARC Raiders because a successful loot find is not the same as successful progression. A module sitting in your inventory only becomes useful once you preserve it through the extraction loop.

What You Need Before Amplifying a Weapon

Module farming is only one part of the system. Amplification is also tied to the Outpost and its late-game facilities.

Before spending significant time farming modules, work toward the following requirements:

  • Outpost progression
  • Gunsmith Level IV
  • Research Station Level IV
  • An eligible weapon at Tier IV
  • The correct Amplification Module

This is why repeatedly farming modules before developing the Outpost can be inefficient. You may end up with valuable resources sitting in storage while your actual upgrade remains blocked by another progression requirement.

A better approach is to advance the Outpost and your target weapon alongside your module farming.

Which Module Should You Keep?

Don’t judge Amplification Modules only by Mark number.

A Mk. V is tied to Legendary weapons, but that does not automatically make it more useful to your current build than Mk. II or Mk. III. The best module to secure is the one connected to a weapon you actually intend to amplify.

Use this priority:

  1. Module required by your current weapon project
  2. Module for a weapon you regularly use
  3. Module for a planned future Amplification
  4. Duplicate modules with no immediate use

This approach becomes especially useful as your stash starts filling with Frozen Trail materials. Keep resources tied to a defined upgrade instead of hoarding every late-game component simply because it is rare.

Plan the Amplification Path Before Spending the Module

Amplification is more than another standard weapon tier. Eligible weapons gain access to specialized upgrade paths that can alter their behavior and combat role.

The Anvil demonstrates why planning matters. Frozen Trail moved the old Anvil Splitter concept into the Amplified Anvil’s progression, where it exists as an upgrade option rather than the old standalone mod. The Anvil also has an X-Rounds path, creating a meaningful specialization choice instead of a simple linear stat increase.

Other Amplified weapons have their own upgrade options, so don’t assume the Anvil’s structure applies identically to every gun.

Before consuming a module, open the available Amplification progression for that weapon and decide whether its specialization fits how you actually use the gun in PvE and PvP.

A More Efficient Amplification Farming Plan

The most efficient approach starts with the weapon rather than the module.

Choose the weapon you want to amplify, check its rarity, and identify the required Mark. At the same time, continue developing your Outpost, Gunsmith, Research Station, and the weapon’s normal upgrade tier.

Then use the Fallen Emperor or ARC Frigate as your dedicated module target. If you recover the correct Mark, protecting that resource takes priority over squeezing another low-value loot stop into the raid.

Other progression materials still matter, and players who choose to buy ARC Raiders Materials should apply the same rule: identify the exact upgrade requirement first instead of accumulating resources without a specific project. Amplification has several progression gates, so solving the wrong material shortage does not move the weapon forward.

Once the correct module is secured, finish any remaining facility requirements, bring the weapon to Tier IV, inspect its available Amplification path, and only then commit the module. For the next weapon, repeat the same process from the rarity check rather than farming Marks at random.
